- Born in Rangoon (Burma) in 1976 - Became refugee in Thaland-Burma Border in 1994 - Had university degree in Educ. in Philippines in 2003 - Resettled to Toronto (Canada) in 2007 I had Extensive experience working with international organizaitons such as: International Rescue Committee (IRC), Jesuit Refugee Service/Asia Pacific (JRS/AP), Initiatives for International Dialogue (IID) and United Nations High Commissioner for the Refugees (UNHCR) for refugees' education and capacity building programs along Thai-Burma Border.

Biography
I was born in 8.6.1980 at Tamwe Township in Yangon from a Christian family. I am a Sgaw Karen. I have one elder sister, one elder brother and one younger sister. My mother is a retired nurse. My father is a retired electronic engineer, a secretary of Cole Baptist Church. I started the primary school in 1987 in Tamwe Township. I graduated from high school in 1997 in North Dagon. After my high school, I attended the Basic computer class and some English language classes. I accomplished the (GCE) General Certificate of Education in Maths, Biology and Chemistry. I applied for the University of Distance Education in Dagon in 2003 and finished in 2006 majoring in English. I got the B.A(R.S) Bachelor of Arts in Religious Studies in Myanmar Institute of Theology in October 2004. My major was English and the elective subject was Music. I started my job in October 13, 2004 at Yangon Grace Theological Seminary as a part-time music teacher. I quit this job for my further study in February 2007. In June 2004 I attended LIFT in MIT. I took part in Sgaw Karen group as a literacy worker and attended literacy workshops. I am very interested in teaching and sharing something what I have learned with others. I enjoy working in literacy work. In June 2005, I started working as a literacy facilitator in Yangon. In May 2006, I was Zaiwa group facilitator in literacy workshop in Maesai. During October-November 2006, I attended the Multilingual Education Course of Word for All in Banglore, India.
