Memberships North American Association for Celtic Language Teachers (NAACLT), past president Daltaí na Gaeilge, volunteer teacher for immersion weekends in Irish language since 1992 American Conference for Irish Studies member of email 'fóram' for Irish translators at www.acmhainn.ie Education B.A., Celtic Languages and Literature combined with Folklore Ph.D. Folklore and Folklife (specializing in Celtic folklore) Have taught accredited Irish language courses at the University of Pennsylvania (Philadelphia, Pa.) since 1990. Also teach community night school class in Irish language at Main Line School Night (Radnor, Pa.) Attended intensive Irish language translators' workshop by Foras na Gaeilge in Dublin, May, 2006. Was awarded 'Ardteastas Rann na Feirste' prize for oral fluency in Irish at age 19. Projects 1) co-author of Irish textbook, _Colloquial Irish_ (Routledge, October 2007) 2) translator _Clóicín Dearg_, (Little Red Riding Hood, in Irish) (Cincinnati, OH: Another Language Press www.aimsbooks.com, 2001) 3) translator 30-phrase Irish language t-shirt in series 'How are you feeling today?', which is available in about 15 languages.
